Everyone loves free stuff and myBrainshark is one of the best free resources that I have found for delivering online presentations. It offers a host of services that should be part of every e-learning practitioner’s toolkit. These tools offer users the ability to create and share video presentations both online and mobile. myBrainshark allows users to upload a PowerPoint, narrate audio, add videos, make a photo album, and produce a podcast. It also provides subject matter experts an opportunity to sell their knowledge to others by becoming a myBrainshark learning partner. Users who are interested in social media can contribute content to a public catalog, engage with other authors and browse thousands of titles. The eVOLVE4Success website uses myBrainshark to show e-learning practitioners – particularly beginners – some of the different types of e-learning formats that can be created using free tools.
There are many features that set myBrainshark apart from other online presentation services such as the ability to program animations on slides as well as add individual audio files to each slide. To add audio, simply upload pre-recorded files (MP3′s) to the myBrainshark site or use one of my favorite features — the ability to record audio online using either a microphone or the telephone.
